16th April - Herbs with Elise

Make a very basic herbal preparation like an intuitive tea blend, infused oil, or medicinal blend

Sensory tea tasting (meeting a herb without knowing what it is and using our senses to connect), then discuss the plant, meet it, and learn and share stories

23rd April - Special Guest - BFI Archive screening and discussion

KEEP FIT

An exploratory and experimental compilation, Keep Fit takes the repetitive and mediative nature of the exercise class itself and presents a ruminative journey through 120 years of fitness and health in moving image. Dir: Jo Reid | 2025 | 21 mins

This event is supported by the BFI Screen Heritage Fund, awarding National Lottery Funding

2nd April - Short Film Cinema

Moving Pictures presented by WoFFF Short films about or made by women over 50. Sit back and enjoy the film’s wide range of submissions to the festival, no film is longer than 20 minutes, and we will have a little discussion about what we’ve seen.

9th April - Singing for Joy with Ava

Join Ava for a singing session to celebrate life. We will sing a mixture of popular songs and lesser-known songs that all share messages of love, strength, faith and interconnectedness.

When we get together to sing and enJOY, we can get a clearer feeling of what thriving might feel like…in our sense of creativity, well-being, and community connections. People have used songs to make meaning and form culture since. When we sing together, our breathing and heartbeats synchronise and we can experience a connectedness that goes beyond words.

Previous Sessions

Communi-tea is made possible with the generous support of our funders.

We are also grateful for donations, no matter how big or small.

You can even donate the cost of a hot drink for one of our sessions. For a small non-profit organisation like ours, every little bit adds up. So please consider donating here.

Every donation helps us continue

If you can, please consider making a small one-off or regular donation to keep our grassroots project going. It would mean so much to everyone involved.
